Website Design + E-commerce

Typical timeline: 2–4 weeks · Average Investment $1200

Thoughtfully built websites that are easy to manage and built to last.

Your website shouldn’t feel overwhelming or fragile. It should be clear, functional, and easy to maintain, even when your business grows or shifts.

I design websites and e-commerce setups that focus on structure first, visuals second, and usability always. The goal is a site that looks good, works properly, and doesn’t require constant troubleshooting.

My primary platforms are Squarespace for websites and e-commerce, and SquareUp for product-based businesses that need a clean, reliable checkout experience.

What changes when your website is built with intention

  • a site that looks and functions the way you actually need it to — not just the default template
  • custom CSS blocks that simplify updates and keep things consistent as your site grows
  • mobile layouts that are thoughtfully adjusted, not just “technically responsive”
  • fewer layout fixes, workarounds, and visual inconsistencies across pages
  • more confidence knowing your site works smoothly for clients on any device

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all setup. Your site is built around how you work, how your clients move through it, and what you actually need day to day.

Clean, minimal workspace

How availability works

I take on a maximum of two website and e-commerce projects per month so each build gets the attention it deserves — from structure and styling to mobile optimization and custom details.

Because of that, new projects are typically scheduled a few weeks in advance rather than started immediately. If you’re planning ahead for next month, that’s often a realistic timeline, depending on current availability.

If any of this feels familiar, you’re in the right place

  • your current website feels outdated or hard to manage
  • you’re starting fresh and want to do it properly the first time
  • you want e-commerce without unnecessary complexity
  • you need something flexible, not overbuilt
  • you want a site you can confidently update yourself

If you want a website that supports your business instead of slowing it down, this is for you.

My approach

Built with intention, not templates slapped together.

I focus on:

  • clear structure and intuitive navigation
  • thoughtful page flow that guides visitors naturally
  • clean, simple design choices that don’t fight for attention
  • mobile optimization beyond basic Squarespace defaults
  • SEO-friendly page structure and clean heading hierarchy
  • custom CSS where it improves usability or layout clarity
  • Canadian accessibility considerations baked into the build
  • proper setup for required pages like terms of service and privacy policy
  • platforms that are stable, secure, and easy to manage long-term

I don’t overcomplicate things or push tools you don’t need. Everything is chosen intentionally, based on how you’ll actually use your site day to day — and what helps it age well as your business grows.

Platforms I work in

Primary platforms

  • Squarespace (websites, blogs and e-commerce)
  • SquareUp (e-commerce and payment processing)

These are my go-to tools because they’re reliable, flexible, and manageable for business owners long-term.

SquareUp is especially well-suited for businesses that sell in person as well as online, like barkeries, pop-up shops, markets, and retail-style services. It allows you to track inventory accurately so you’re not overselling products you don’t actually have, and it keeps online and in-person sales synced in one place.

For businesses that need simple e-commerce with real-world inventory control, it’s a really solid option.

Additional experience

I also have experience working in:

  • Shopify (e-commerce)
  • ShowIt (website design)
  • WordPress (website builds and updates)

If you’re already on one of these platforms, we can discuss whether it makes sense to stay there or transition to something simpler.

Not sure which platform you actually need?

You don’t need to know the right tech stack. Check everything you need, and I’ll point you toward the platform that fits.

You can select more than one option.

Your recommendation will appear here as you select what you need.

Squarespace

Best for businesses that need a polished website with strong visuals, blogging, digital downloads, and layout control.

Ideal for portfolios, content-heavy sites, and selling digital products online.

Square

Best for businesses that need reliable payments, inventory tracking, and in-person checkout.

In Canada, Square is the strongest option for POS and inventory management.

Something more custom

Your needs don’t fit cleanly into a single platform. This usually means combining tools or building a tailored setup.

Common when you need in-person sales and a polished website together.

Why work with me

I approach website design the same way I approach everything else: with clarity, intention, and a focus on how things actually function day to day.

I don’t just design for how a site looks at launch. I design for how you’ll use it, update it, and rely on it over time. That means thoughtful structure, clean navigation, and platforms that won’t create extra work for you later.

I’m also realistic about what most businesses need. I won’t push complex features or platforms that don’t make sense for your size or goals. If something can be done simply and effectively, that’s the route I’ll recommend.

Because I work across websites, systems, and backend operations, I design with the bigger picture in mind. Your website isn’t treated as a standalone project. It’s built to support your booking process, your sales flow, and your overall business structure.

The end result is a site that feels calm, clear, and manageable, not fragile or overwhelming.
